We understand that organising events can be time-consuming and challenging.

That’s where we come in. With our proven science communication expertise, we provide interactive, fun and informative ocean science for all audiences. We particularly enjoy engaging with non-self-selecting audiences; those not necessarily attracted to science or environment. Using an accessible and easy-going approach, we foster a respect for our ocean using a variety of creative approaches, speaking to each audience member.

Since starting in 2016, we have attended hundreds of science festivals, music festivals, literature festivals, community festivals, theatre productions, international conferences, and trade shows across the UK, Europe, The Middle East and the USA.

Incredible Oceans has organised many large-scale public festivals (including the celebrated WhaleFest) and have taken part in over 300 science festivals, music festivals and conferences, educating 1000s of people across the UK and Europe. We understand the challenges involved with putting on an event and are well-versed in making the process smooth and efficient.

Our team is made up of ocean experts with diverse areas of expertise and backgrounds, ranging from oceanographers, marine biologists, conservationists, policy advisors, and all-round ocean enthusiasts. Focused & Prepared

We are the only organisation whose sole focus is delivering education about our ocean. As a community interest company (CIC), our only agenda is engaging others about the importance of our ocean, not collecting donations or signing people up for membership. Everything we do is fully risk-assessed. We come with £5 million of public liability insurance. We even have our own eye-catching pop-up venue: The Ocean Dome.

British

We are proud to be based on the 9th largest island on Earth, with our productive seas and rich maritime heritage. But we’re shocked that 1 in 5 children in the UK have never even seen the sea. We showcase and celebrate the rich marine life we have on our doorstep.

Festivals and community events: celebrating the sea

Join us as we transport you into the underwater realms, bringing the ocean to you. Experience the magic of marine life, engage with interactive exhibits, and immerse yourself in the vibrant world beneath the waves. We come with all the infrastructure and equipment for an instant ocean festival; as well as our pop-up Ocean Dome, we also have our travelling ocean museum of teeth, bones, shells, jaws and even an orca skull!

Workshops and hands-on science: dive deeper

Our hands-on workshops offer a deep dive into specific ocean topics, helping participants see the importance and relevance of the ocean to our everyday lives. Led by marine experts, these fun and creative sessions provide a unique opportunity to learn about marine conservation, ocean science, and the fascinating creatures that call the ocean home.

Presentations and talks: Voices of the Ocean

We have developed a series of fun, informative and interactive science shows themed around our ocean, shedding light on the latest ocean research and the pressing issues our ocean faces. Our shows can be easily adapted for different audiences; from young learners through to families and adult festival-goers.

The Ocean Dome

Our ocean dome is a versatile space that we use to host a variety of events and activities from our ocean presentations, science workshops and art exhibitions, to storytelling and DJ nights. The ocean dome allows us to create an instant immersive ocean zone anywhere, bringing a sense of occasion to events, and providing an eye-catching focal point.

The dome has a footprint of 6m x 6m and a height of 4.2m. It can be put up quickly almost anywhere - on beaches, in forests, in fields, shopping centres, quaysides, car parks, schools, playgrounds, inside, outside, on grass, concrete or sand. The dome is decorated with charismatic sea creatures designed by illustrator Giulia Di Amicis, and interspersed with literary quotes from famous ocean stories.

Built by exhibition tent specialists Axion UK, our dome is fully certified, and comes with £5 million of public liability insurance. It’s completely risk assessed and has even been tested to hurricane wind speeds.
