The wonderful March of the Mermaids was established before we became involved but we are proud to have lifted this ocean-promoting event and helped it on it’s way.

The brainchild and dream of experienced Arts Administrator and Event Organiser, Hannah Chilton, the march has been a bit of a Brighton tradition and in 2016 we helped turn it into a full blown festival on Hove Lawns.

It’s a celebration of the sea - and a fundraiser - using dance and music but mostly of course colourful costume. Sea creatures, mermaids, pirates and much more: it’s yet another way that art and performance can speak about ocean issues and allow marine conservation and science to reach new audiences.
