“Nothing in science has any value to society if it is not communicated” Anne Roe

Changing climate, plastics, pollution, acoustics, over-fishing . . . our oceans are well-studied and known to be under intense pressure, yet surveys show that less than half of the UK public have seen or heard of these topics.

The same surveys speak of the power of communities, organisations and media to overcome this. Working with NERC (Natural Environment Research Council), Institute of Physics and other leading academic institutions, we use arts and culture to engage the public with ocean science.
